Huis Sonneveld. Brinkman en Van der Vlugt : modern wonen in 1933. De museumwoning Huis Sonneveld in Rotterdam is een van de best bewaarde woonhuizen in de stijl van het Nieuwe Bouwen. Het huis werd in 1933 gebouwd naar een ontwerp van het architectenbureau Brinkman & Van der Vlugt, dat internationale bekendheid verwierf met ontwerpen voor de Van Nellefabriek, het Woonhuis Van der Leeuw en het Stadion Feijenoord, alle in Rotterdam.Het huis werd gebouwd in opdracht van de heer A.H. Sonneveld, één van de directeuren van de Van Nellefabriek. Bijzonder aan deze woning is dat Brinkman en Van der Vlugt naast het huis ook het volledige interieur hebben ontworpen. Voor de inrichting gebruikten ze de toen net geïntroduceerde seriemeubelen en lampen van de firma Gispen en stoffen uit de collectie van de firma Metz & Co. Deze rijk geïllustreerde publicatie voorziet in een gedegen inzicht in het ontwerp, de inrichting, de bewoners en de restauratie en herinrichting van dit jonge monument vol chroom en kleur.
